Atmospheric Re-entry Mode: The Wing Gundam Zero has four wings - two movable front wings, and two variable-geometry rear wings. Both pairs are usually folded onto its back, but when re-entering Earth's atmosphere, the front wings wrap around the Gundam's body to shield it from heat and friction, while the rear wings maintain balance. After re-entry, it spreads its wings in "flight mode" and can glide for long periods.

Twin Buster Rifle: This weapon has more than twice the firepower of the Wing Gundam's buster rifle, plus rapid-fire capabilities. It can be separated into two rifles. |
 |
Beam Sabers: Thanks to improvements in its energy supply system, the Wing Gundam Zero's beam sabers have a very high output, making them excellent close-combat weapons. |

| Before the creation
of the Gundams sent to Earth in Operation Meteor, Doctor J and his fellow scientists
designed the Wing Gundam Zero. Not only did this original Gundam's performance
eclipse that of the later ones, but its cockpit had a special "Zero System." This
control system instantaneously computes every aspect of the current combat situation,
simulates possible outcomes, and communicates all this information directly to
the pilot's brain. The Wing Gundam Zero's most striking external features are
its huge wings, which allow it to re-enter Earth's atmosphere and then glide through
the air. Thus, the mobile suit's combat range encompasses both outer space and
the entire surface of the Earth. |
