A powerful beam weapon, which uses the same technology as the Tallgeese III's mega cannon. While its firepower isn't on a par with the mega cannon, it's the most powerful mass-produced beam weapon. |

| The Serpent was secretly
developed by the Earth Alliance as a successor to the general-purpose mobile suit
Leo. While previous Alliance mobile suits were developed on Earth, the appearance
of the Gundams made space deployment a high priority, and producing these new
mobile suits in the space colonies was cheaper than transporting them up from
Earth. It's believed that the financial backing of the Barton Foundation influenced
the Alliance to choose the space colony X-18999 as its development site. After
the end of the conflict between Earth and space in AC 195, the Barton Foundation
quietly seized the Serpent production lines and used them to create its own mobile
suit legion. Armored with tough Neo Titanium alloy, capable of operating both
in space and on Earth, and equipped with an arsenal of powerful weapons, the Serpent
is the main weapon of the Barton Foundation's rebellious Mariemaia Army. |
