This is a simplified version of the prototype
RX-75 Guntank,
which appears during the
Federation's
assault on a secret
Zeon
development base. In this mass-produced model, the
Core Fighter
escape craft has been eliminated to cut production costs. As a result, it's gained the ability to swivel at the waist, greatly increasing the firing arc of its powerful recoilless cannons. Still, this crude
mobile suit
is suited only for long-range support fire, as its poor mobility and lack of melee weapons make it an easy target at close range.
