The RGM-79C GM is the Earth Federation's standard mass-produced mobile suit as of U.C. 0083. Though its design is based in part on data gathered from the RGM-79G GM Command, the C type is little changed from the original version of the GM introduced during the One Year War. Produced in bulk by the factories of Jaburo and Luna II, these machines are used by the Federation's space and ground forces alike.
