The Val Varo is one of a number of prototype Zeon mobile armors created during the One Year War. Combining elements of several other designs, it's equipped with a large central cannon like that of the MA-05 Bigro, huge articulated claws like those of the MAM-07 Grabro, and an electromagnetic interference weapon called the "plasma leader" which is derived from the system used by the MAX-03 Adzam. After the war, the Val Varo ended up in the hands of former Zeon pilot Kelly Layzner, who has spent the last three years secretly repairing it in his junkyard near Von Braun City.
