Another of the Albion's pilot reinforcements, Bate is calmer and less obnoxious than Monsha, but can be relied upon to encourage his friend's misbehavior. Together with Monsha and Adel, he served under Burning during the One Year War, and his experience makes him a natural choice for deputy commander of the Albion's mobile suit team.
