While the standard GM Command is intended for combat inside space colonies, the GS version is designed for combat outside them. Its thruster output has been boosted by 10%, and its increased propellant capacity gives it greatly extended operating time. Both versions of the GM Command were created to gather data for future mass-produced models; though only a few are produced, and they have little impact on the course of the war, they will become the basis for the Federation's post-war mobile suit development efforts.
