The Dark Army
mobile suit
is the backbone of the
Dark Gundam's
legions. Created by the Dark Gundam's nanotechnological powers of
self-multiplication,
these machines are operated by zombie soldiers who have been completely taken over by the dreaded
DG Cells.
While an individual Dark Army mobile suit is no match for a
Gundam,
their vast numbers make them a serious threat, and the basic machine can be adapted to any environment with the appropriate add-on equipment. Known variants include the four-legged Dark Beast, the winged Dark Birdie, and the aquatic Dark Navy, and the Dark Gundam can also create specialized versions to impersonate individual Gundams.
